Day 46: Frankie Flywheel is Becoming Normal Again

This is an early and quick blog since we need to be back here tomorrow morning by 8 am. The heart echo will be between 8-10 am. This sucks as we have completely altered our sleep cycles to 3am to 10am. But oh well, it will be worth it to get a clear view for Frankie Freon's heart. From there they will decide how we will continue his treatment.

Frankie Fanbelt has been taking really good bottles, including a 45cc and 40cc bottle today. If he doesn't start gaining weight soon, they will be fortifying his milk. Essentially adding weight gainer to it. He also seems to be in a better mood lately and sleeping better. More or less getting used to his steroids.

Jaclyn and my Dad came up for Wednesday night dinner. Unfortunately getting stuck in the waiting room for too long as the message that they were here was never relayed to us. Which we were sleeping in here anyway. They brought us a gym mat so we could play with Frankie Fuse on the ground. We in turn fell asleep on it. We got away with sleeping with our baby because his alarms would go off if we rolled over on him.  We were only woken by surgery coming up and taking a look at the omphalocele. We had concern about a blister like area. The omphalocele has what appears to be islands of skin growing on it. They think the blister is just fluid trapped between the new skin and the old umbilical membrane. That is great if all this skin is growing up on it.

Well, wish Frankie Fuel Injector luck on tomorrows heart echo. Hopefully his echo goes great great great!
