Day 39: Frankie Salutes

Prior to our arrival Frankie Fiji took a whole bottle with his speech therapist and did not spit up any of it. He is also at max feeds, 25 cc! Conquered that mofo... next! Shortly after Alex and I showed, we got a chance to talk to the doctor about our concerns with having a PFO or ASD. And that we felt as if we were being treated before being fully diagnosed. She pulled the paper work on the echos and went over them with us. There was a chance that there was a PFO at first, marked as a shunt, but since there were no other mentions of it in the other echos, that if it was there, it is gone now. She was certain that his pulmonary hypertension was not caused by a PFO or ASD or the heart for that matter. She feels it is in the lungs. That they might be slightly undersized because of his torso shape. This would cause an effect of too much blood trying to flow through not enough area, causing a backup. That they do not plan to do another echo for about a month. Per our requests, that echo will be moved up and scheduled so we can be here to quiet the boy. Frankie Findland started his Viagra today. Based on his weight (7 pounds 9.5 ounces) he will get .5mg per kilo (his weight) every six hours to start. This will be worked up to 2.0mg per kilo. So at his current weight, he will start with 1.7 and increase to 6.8mg. I only wonder what will happen then as he is getting Raging Salomis already. Besides all that, my dad, sister, and her St. Mary's fairy came by for an extended dinner. Frankie France made aunt Zia the movie below and then dozed off.
