Day 22: Frankie Fatigue Sleeps Like His Uncle Tino

Frankie is 3 weeks old!!!

With a face like that, no wonder the nurses called him an angel today. Frankie Swells went back on TPN IV nutrients so no mama's milk. He slept hard this morning, never setting off an alarm for anything. When we arrived around 3, the boy was hanging out in his swing. Got a little cranky so held him for a minute and put him back in his bed. He played for a little bit, but then was fast asleep. He slept all evening. Soundly. We have never seen his heart beat down in the 120-130, but that is were he was. We had to wake him up to give him a bath. His air is still way up at 5 liters at 50% but his stats are great. For some reason the surgeons never came by today so his omphalocele never got re-wrapped. We aren't very happy about this and I keep offering to do it ourselves, but the nurse tells us surgery is on their way. Its 12:15, I don't see it happening. Alex and I walked over to Pasta House in the CWE only to find it vacant. Story of our lives. Ate dinner at Culpeppers, was okay. Watched the movie Lost in Translation. It was in English. I speak English. I still don't get it.

P.S. Frankie has legs like his dad.
